My heart beats faster as I walk through the lush green grass of
Balmore park. The sun beams down. The radio had told me today that it
was the hottest day in September.
My floaty grey silk skirt brushed my smooth tanned leg.
I see a tall dark shadow walking towards me. They have a slight limp and were wearing a cap to the side.
His
hair is dark. My stomach turns as they approach me. How do I greet them
my mind spins with opening phrases and my palms sweat.
He walked
faster towards me. I brush the hair out of my eyes and look up into his
deep dark brown eyes, his arms reach out and go to hug me. I lent into
the hug and embraced, I softly say, 'Hello.'
He said, 'Hello Abigail.'
I smiled as nobody ever calls me Abigail: my name is Abby.
We sat in the long grass and I admired the view of the city. The peaceful view calmed my nerves.
We
both reminisce about our past. I gazed into his eyes. I reached into my
bag and pulled out a cigarette which I offered him and I took the fag
to my lips and lit it. We smoked and laughed at each others stories, we
had not seen each other for at least four years. We slipped cold cans of
beer in the sun.
He leaned over my to grab the lighter as he lit
another cigarette. He accidently brushed my bosom, and he looked up. He
smiled, his cheek has a dimple and he was not shaven as there is a brush
of hair on his chin.
We continued to talk as I lay in the grass. I
rest my head onto his chest, I can feel his heart beating faster as he
breathed in and out. He smelt of linen and boys' aftershave..
He
hand touches my face and cups my cheeks. He wraps his arms around my
lower back and pushes hard down with his palm which make made me smile
he continues rubbing up and down my spine, I breathe in deeply.
My
eyes lock with his and my lips press deeply into his. His tongue slips
into my mouth it is wet but sharp and it whirls about my mouth.
He looks into my eyes and smiles. He kisses me again. My head spins and my mind screams, BITCH!
What have you just done?
You cheater, you lie, say the devil in my right ear!
