The Crush

There he was, she stares at him standing tall with that childish smile. She realizes that his excessive confidence was irritating, yet his dreamy eyes and raspy voice makes any space glow.

She trembles to the sound of his voice. Her heart beats like crazy when she sees him, so much that she is afraid he can hear it. She can't understand why she feels such a strong and achy feeling in her stomach. She can't understand why the waves of emotions are storming in her body.

She thought to herself, if she could have him for only one-night by her side, holding her ... if only. Her desire to feel his perfect and subtle caressing gives her pleasure. She dreams of his hands taking her to a world of sweet passion. She thinks of his lips against hers and playing with her hair and his fingers running down her back and face. She craves his arms wrapped around her as she dreams of pressing her head against his chest.

Her voice mutes whenever he speaks. She can feel her throat getting dry and her lips barely make an attempt to show a smile. She is thinking about the way he moves, the way he smells, the way he makes her feel.

Terrified of rejection, she continues to watch at a safe distance, letting life go on ... year after year. Her heart keeps that secret, she will retain hope and never let go of the dream of an unrequited crush.
